De Dieffenbachia heeft vele grote bladeren, wat zijn uiterlijk typeert. Echter bestaat deze plant in ontzettend veel verschillende uitvoeringen, waarbij de bladtekening telkens het type bepaalt. De plant is van oorsprong van de Amazone en heeft een luchtzuiverende kwaliteit. 

Let op met jonge kinderen en huisdieren, daar de bladeren van deze plant uiterst pijnlijk zijn bij inname en kan zelfs leiden tot tijdelijke verlamming. 

De Dieffenbachia staat het liefst op een lichte plek, maar hou deze uit direct zonlicht wegens schade op de bladeren. Hou deze uit tochtplekken en geef regelmatig water, deze plant houdt ervan om met de voeten in een vochtige ondergrond te staan. 

Planten zijn heel verschillend in kweek, waardoor het uiterlijk van de plant wat kan verschillen. Dit steeds gelijkend aan de weergegeven beelden, maar kan wat verschillen in functie van het aanbod van de kweker. 

Verzorging: veel/indirect zonlicht - 2 maal per week water geven (licht vochtige grond)
