Deze klankschalen zijn met aandacht gemaakt. Vanbinnen hebben ze een warme goudkleur, terwijl de buitenzijde, behalve de bovenrand, in een rustige matte zwarte tint is.

Elke schaal is handgemaakt van koper, tin en acht edele metalen (Ag, Ni, Cd, Ru, Pd, Pt, Cr, Mn).

Gehamerde klankschalen
De productie van deze gehamerde klankschalen is een fijn handwerk. Elke schaal wordt zorgvuldig gevormd door deskundige handen en krijgt zo zijn eigen klank en uitstraling. Eerst worden de metalen gesmolten, waarbij koper en tin het brons vormen en de andere metalen in kleine hoeveelheden worden toegevoegd. Het vloeibare metaal wordt in een mal gegoten en in schijven van verschillende afmetingen gesneden. Vervolgens worden deze schijven met zorg en aandacht handmatig gehamerd om de gewenste vorm te krijgen, waarbij het gewicht nauwkeurig wordt ingedeeld.

Vijf schijven worden op elkaar gelegd en roodgloeiend verhit. Daarna worden ze, terwijl ze heet zijn, één voor één in een mal tot een komvorm geslagen. Dit proces vraagt precisie en ervaring, omdat het metaal alleen in deze staat vormbaar is en anders kwetsbaar wordt. Na de grove vorm begint het fijne werk: elke schaal wordt opnieuw roodgloeiend verhit en met geduld en precisie verder gevormd en afgestemd op klank en vorm. Tot slot worden de schalen van binnen en buiten zorgvuldig geschuurd, gepolijst en waar nodig met beitels afgewerkt om het geheel tot rust te brengen.
