Het is een frisgroene spar met mooie, regelmatige takken. De naalden van 2 centimeter lang zorgen voor een mooi effect en blijven bovendien de hele winter zitten, ook bij strenge vorst.

Bijzonderheden Picea abies
Deze groenblijvende haag met zijn groene naalden en kaarsrechte stam is een prima kant-en-klaar haag. De takken zijn mooi regelmatig verdeelt en staan vol met 2cm lange stekelige glanzende naalden. De jonge uitloop van naalden is frisgroen. Door de snoei van de haag zal deze spar geen kegels vormen. Deze haag verdraagt schaduwrijke plekken goed, een zeer zonnige standplaats vertraagt de groei. De fijnspar is geschikt voor matig vochtige grondsoorten. De fijnspar vraagt geen bijzondere zorg en is door zijn winterhardheid zeer geschikt voor sneeuwrijke gebieden.
