Chanel verhief eenvoudige stoffen zoals jersey en tweed tot couture en creëerde een geraffineerd maar ingetogen silhouet dat de mode van de 20e eeuw opnieuw definieerde.

Chanel haar visie bevrijdde vrouwen van beperkende kleding en sloot aan bij bredere maatschappelijke verschuivingen. Haar opvolger, Karl Lagerfeld, helaas overleden op 19 Februari 2019, heeft de mode-industrie opnieuw uitgevonden. Dit deed hij door inspiratie te putten uit Chanels nalatenschap en zijn eigen innovatieve touch toe te voegen.

Karl Lagerfeld zijn aanpak om een legendarisch merk nieuw leven in te blazen werd de blauwdruk voor het moderne modehuis. Het bijgewerkte deel van Assouline, Chanel: The Legend of an Icon, beschrijft deze rijke geschiedenis. Dit doet het dit Chanel koffietafelboek met een selectie van honderd iconische stukken en een inzichtelijke tekst van Alexander Fury, die de blijvende impact van Chanel illustreert met archiefbeelden en hedendaagse beelden.

Alexander Fury

Alexander Fury is naast modejournalist ook auteur en criticus. Hij is Fashion Features Director van AnOther Magazine en Men's Critic voor de Financial Times. Van 2016 tot 2018 was hij de eerste Chief Fashion Correspondent bij T: The New York Times Style Magazine. Daarvoor was hij van 2013 tot 2016 moderedacteur van de bekende kranten The Independent, i en The Independent on Sunday.

Als bekroning ontving Alexander Fury in 2018 het Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters van de Academy of Art University in San Francisco. I was wondering how nate could ever redeem himself, and he did. the last scene with him was sad, but I also felt it was beautiful. thank you to the author for making a beautiful omegaverse book that gave me all the feels. now I'm jumping straight into book two.

However there were just one too many convoluted plot points, sentences just did not flow nicely at times, and I was left with a lot of confusion on my end. I think it has the bones of being a great story but seems like it was rushed and I had to push myself to finish the last of the book and was left with an unsatisfying ending. It’s definitely different from other omegaverse novels I’ve read but not for good reasons. I really think it could be great but needs some serious tweaking and editing before I’d read it again.

I cried my eyes out when he walked into the story. I was truly terrified he was going to be a bad guy to the end. However you truly did him such a justice by having him realize his faults & having him redeem himself in the most wonderful way. I’m so sad that he didn’t get to hear how much his brother loved him & forgave him before dying. But again you wrote that ending so beautifully & I just can’t express how much I loved this story & how you took a different route than most authors I have read have. You are a remarkable author Cinder Blaze & I thank you generously for creating such a masterpiece.
