Pro Series Flexible tips also incorporate a stop on the pivot tip, this stops the tip at 90 degrees of rotation preventing damage that can occur if the tip rotates under the clutch cover.
Pro Series Brake Pedals also incorporate a cable brake snake, this helps prevent the pedal shaft being bent around in a collision.

Fitting Instructions:
- Start by taking note mark where the height if the pedal tip is in relation to the footpeg.
- Remove the R-clip or split pin from the rear of the brake bolt located behind the frame.
- Remove the pivot bolt holding the pedal to the frame.
- Detach the return spring from the pedal and leave hanging.
- Spin the pedal outwards exposing the split pin at the rear of the pedal clevis.
- Remove this split pin and the locating dowel, the rear brake pedal will now remove.
- Remove the oil seals from the old pedal clean and re-fit to the new pedal.
- Clean all the parts with a multi-purpose lube such as maxima MPPL, ready for re-installing.
- Re- fit the Brake clevis, Locating pin and split pin.
- Re-Fit the return spring.
- Apply some Maxima waterproof grease to the pivot bolt align the pivot hole and re-fit the bolt.
- Torque the pivot bolt to the required torque as per the owner’s manual.
- Re-fit the R-clip/Split pin to the rear of the pivot bolt.
- With the pedal now attached adjust the pedal height to the correct position and free play, do this by loosening the nut above the clevis and turning the plunger bolt inwards or outwards to suit.
- Now fit the brake snake.
- Japanese models- Remove the lower engine mount nut and washer, replace the old washer with the new washer which is attached to the brake snake.
- KTM models- Remove the new washer which is attached to the brake snake, put this aside as it’s not required on the KTM, loop the cable around the lower engine mount and replace inside the crimp fitting.
- Set the correct tension on the brake snake, remembering to allow for the pedal to extend down.
- Crimp the fitting together using pliers and trim excess cable.

Reliable and durable, even in harsh conditions

This watch has served me very well. From Arctic waters to long distance races, it has held up to everything except one task I asked of it, which was my fault.
This watch can handle repeated free dives to 12 ft deep. It cannot handle scuba diving at the same depth for an hour straight without needing to have the battery shorted to reset it.
It fits well, lights up consistently and brightly enough to read without being blinding, keeps accurate time, and generally does everything I want it to.

Typical Timex

Just love this watch. It’s a little larger dial than the “typical” 38mm,which is what I was looking for. Works perfectly. Keeps decently accurate time, solid built metal case and glass crystal. Leather strap not too stiff so break in is not really a concern. I like Timex best for reliability, features and price. Plus it’s easy to change readily available batteries (which last about 1-2 years). Getting lots of compliments on it. One small oddity, what should be the second hand is actually a tachometer/chronograph function. The second hand is actually a smaller dial near the 6 o’clock position. Seems odd especially if you’ve never owned a hand sweep chronograph watch. Not a big deal just need to retrain your brain for the second hand. Timex has been my go to watch for years now and I’ve never had an issue with them except the occasional band or battery replacement. I wear them to work and am NOT easy on them at all. They just work. In my opinion, they are a great value. Moderate watches typically cost well over $100, Timex’s core watches are about 1/2 that price usually. Although the company has ventured into the upscale watch arena a few years ago and are also value packed and very good looking, some costing as much as $1000! For my daily driver kind of budget, I’ll stick with their core line basic watches thanks

Solid timepiece from Timex

Easy to read, watch face is well laid out and I like the contrast of the numbers against the background. It's been a while since I had a watch with Indiglo so it was nice to see that again. However, with the white hands, it's a little tough to read in the dark when the backlight is on, though it does have glow in the dark hands.
Watch has a heavy, quality feel to it. Well constructed, like it may take a knock or two. Much beefier than any of the previous Timex watches I've owned. I was concerned about the crown size and it hitting the back of my hand in certain positions but it seems to be fine. I feel it but it's not nearly as prominent as I thought.
If you have bad eyes like me, it may be tough to read without glasses on.
The band fits well after oiling the leather --- cuts down drastically on break-in time. It always seems like I'm right in between two of the settings so oiling will help the band stretch a little in the tighter position. The color is pretty light fresh out of the box and the thread contrast is pretty retro. I found that oiling it also helped sort of detune that a little bit. I'm always one of those types that has to mod something the second I take it out of the box or it just isn't going to work. Oiling the leather band was the trick. I was on the fence and considering ordering a different one until I took a few minutes and hand rubbed some leather oil in to get it much darker and more pliable. Super comfortable. And thick, too. Seems like it will hold on for a few years.
I bought a "used" one for a slightly discounted price -- in this economy, ffs!? Arrived just fine, intact, no signs of having been worn, just out of its original box and returned. Arrived in a factory box on factory wrist holder for the band, instructions were included, and arrived with a fresh battery installed -- just need to remove the tab to engage time and start the watch.
Also, register the lifetime warranty. You'll likely never need to anything other than change the battery but if you ever do, they'll fix it for free. Also, I am not affiliated with Timex in any way. I'm just hopped up on the watch I just got and feel like writing a nice review about it.
Highly recommended watch and happy to replace that $60 smartwatch. I was ready to get back to a real time piece.

Nice Watch... But Buyer Beware!

This is a great looking and very functional watch for the price, so I was very disappointed to find it didn't work properly. Close examination revealed a tiny plastic collar preventing the crown from being fully depressed as necessary. I'm aware most new watches come with a small plastic tab that must be removed to activate the watch: this was not that. Those tabs are designed to be easily removed with one's fingertips. This collar (shown in the photo) was barely accessible due to the crown, and could not be removed even with fine-tipped watch repair tools.
I contacted Timex customer support and sent them the photo. They evaded my question as to what the collar was and why it was there, but confirmed it needed to be removed for the watch to function, suggesting I bring it to a jeweler/watch repair shop. Well, the watch isn't such a bargain anymore if I've got to pay someone to get it to work -- so I returned it and requested a replacement.
Wouldn't you know it? The replacement had the same stupid plastic collar preventing it from working. This time I decided to see if I could fix it myself. I removed the case back with a pry knife, removed the plastic battery cover, used a pin-punch to release the watch stem, and fully removed the stem from the case, finally freeing the offending plastic collar. Pretty straightforward if you have the tools.
Reassembly was trickier, as two miniscule push bars fell out when the plastic battery cover was removed. These allow the chronograph pushbuttons to activate the stopwatch. They're smaller than a grain of rice and sit loosely within tiny channels in the battery cover, so they are very prone to falling out as the cover is put back in place. It took several attempts to get the battery cover situated with them still seated. Then it was just a matter of carefully placing the watch in a case press to snap the case back in place.
Once reassembled, the watch worked fine. I replaced the rubber strap with a NATO strap, and it's now a favorite daily beater watch. I'm astounded no other reviewers seem to have encountered this issue when I encountered it TWICE, but I've detailed it here in case others run into the same problem. Disassembling the watch to remove the troublesome plastic collar isn't that big a deal if you have watch repair tools and steady hands -- but if that's not you, you might have to decide whether it's worth paying a jeweler to repair your brand new watch.

Highly recommended for a first-time buyer!

As a newcomer to the world of watch collecting, I wanted my first serious piece to be something reliable, functional, and stylish. After spending some time with the Timex Expedition Field Chronograph, I can safely say it exceeded my expectations.
Design and Build Quality
The first thing that caught my eye was the color palette. The earthy, rugged tones give it a great "field watch" look that works for both daily wear and outdoor adventures. Despite its 43mm size, the weight feels substantial without being overbearing. The finish is impressive for this price point; it feels incredibly durable and well-built, like it can actually handle the "Expedition" name.
Readability and Function
I was initially a bit worried that the chronograph sub-dials might make the face look cluttered, but I found it surprisingly easy to read. Once you get used to the layout, tracking the time at a glance is a breeze.
The "Killer Feature": INDIGLO
The standout feature is definitely the INDIGLO backlight. It is, quite simply, excellent. It makes reading the time in low-light or total darkness effortless. It’s one of those features you don’t realize how much you need until you have it.
