Iedere speler legt een Croco staartkaart voor zich. Leg de Croco kopkaarten en de bonuskaarten in het midden van de tafel. Schud de Croco gevarenkaarten 1, 2 en 3 en leg ze op een stapel met de gevarenkant naar boven, naast de Croco kopkaarten. De gevarenkaarten 4 en 5 zijn voor ronde 2 en 3.

Iedere speler legt een Croco-staartkaart voor zich. Leg de Croco-kopkaarten en de bonuskaarten in het midden van de tafel. Schud de Croco-gevarenkaarten 1, 2 en 3 en leg ze op een stapel met de gevarenkant naar boven, naast de Croco-kopkaarten. De gevarenkaarten 4 en 5 zijn voor ronde 2 en 3.

Jouw beurt? Pak een Croco-gevarenkaart of een Croco-kopkaart om je krokodil te sluiten. Hierna kan je geen kaarten meer toevoegen aan je krokodil.

Pak je een Croco-gevarenkaart, dan kies je of je deze zelf houdt of aan een tegenstander geeft. Hoe hoger het niveau van gevaar, hoe groter het risico op een onscherpe kaart, maar hoe groter de winst. Ieder dier dat op deze kaart staat levert namelijk een extra punt op. De gouden vogelkaart levert 1 punt op en de speler mag aan het einde van de ronde een bonuskaart pakken die net zoveel punten oplevert als op de kaart staat aangegeven.

De ronde eindigt wanneer iemand niet meer kan spelen: omdat hun krokodil compleet is (met een kopkaart) of omdat ze een ronde hebbben verloren door 2 onscherpe fotokaarten of een mislukte foto.

So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
