Alla vista, color rosso rubino luminoso. Il naso si esprime su profumi intensi di frutta rossa, ciliegie e lamponi, con un lieve richiamo floreale. In bocca, si apre con discreta struttura e buon equilibrio, avvolgendo il palato con note fruttate su una bella trama acida e minerale. Chiude armonico e fine.

Questo Dolcetto d'Alba di Cavallotto deriva dal vigneto Scot di pressappoco tre ettari del comune di Castiglione Falletto, nelle Langhe, con esposizione est e sud-est e impiantato nel 1979. La vinificazione avviene con lieviti naturali, con macerazione a cappello semisommerso di 3-4 giorni. L'affinamento del Dolcetto d'Alba DOC "Vigna Scot" di Cavallotto dura 6-8 mesi in vasche di cemento.

Questo Dolcetto d'Alba si accosta magnificamente ad antipasti mediamente corposi, primi piatti, formaggi e carni. Ottimo con la pizza.

Worked for only 4 months. Now produces metal shards. Dangerous
Pros: Can be used with one hand. I bought this to have after surgery that left me without use of one arm for a few months. The light blinks when you need to charge it. Only needs a 2-3 min charge for enough juice to open a can. Cons: IT QUIT CUTTING CORRECTLY AFTER 4 MONTHS. I now have to use both hands to hold it in place to get it to latch on to the can. It also requires a few rotations around the top to cut through the seal, resulting in METAL SHARDS! The metal shards are super sharp and almost invisible. I stabbed myself with one enough to draw blood. This is dangerous as the metal could fall into the food when pouring from the can.
