Valdespino heeft een rijke geschiedenis die teruggaat naar de 13e eeuw. Het begint allemaal met Don Alfonso Valdespino. Deze man was een van de 24 ridders die uit naam van Koning Alonso de stad Jerez heroverde op de Moren. Als dank hiervoor kregen alle ridders, waaronder ook Valdespino een stuk land uit de stad Jerez. In 1264 begon Don Alfonso Valdespino met het verbouwen van wijn, zonder te denken dat 750 jaar later Valdespino de nummer één producent van Sherry werd.Valdespino Quina Sherry kopen
Deze Valdespino Quina is ontstaat door een nieuw project van Valdespino: Valdespino Aperitieven. Als jaren is Valdespino toonaangevend in haar Sherry wijnen, echter is zij na ruim 7 eeuw vakmanschap nog steeds vernieuwend. Deze oude sherry wordt gemacereerd. Dit betekent dat de oude Oloroso wijn, samen met de klassieke Pedro Xeminez van dit wijnhuis, wordt vermengd met natuurlijke ingrediënten, net zoals bij Vermouth gebeurd. Hierdoor krijg je een aperitief welke zeer aromatisch van smaak is.Indrukken van Valdespino Quina
De oude Oloroso wijnen, welke zijn ontstaan door het unieke Solera systeem in het Sherry gebied, wordt vermengd met authentieke ingrediënten. De belangrijkste hierin is Cinchonaschors. Deze schors wordt tevens gebruikt voor de winning van kinine, wat we kennen van de tonic. Ook wordt de oude sherry gemacereerd met gedroogde grapefruit en sinaasappels uit Valencia. Great for dementia patients
I ordered this for my 94 year old mother with dementia to “feed” her stuffed cat. She was trying to feed her cat real food because “he’s hungry”, so this was a great solution. Her cat didn’t starve and mother was happy.
