This advanced live production camera is designed for demanding studio and event environments where cinematic image quality and broadcast reliability must coexist. At its core is a large Super 35 sensor capable of capturing detailed 6K images with 13 stops of dynamic range, ensuring rich colour reproduction and excellent highlight handling under challenging lighting. Dual native ISO up to 25 600 allows confident operation in dimly lit venues while maintaining clean, low‑noise pictures suitable for professional broadcast and streaming workflows.

The active EF lens mount provides compatibility with a wide range of photographic and cinema lenses, making it easy to tailor the look for different productions. Integrated infrared neutral density filters with four selectable strengths allow rapid exposure control when lighting conditions change, including bright daylight environments. This flexibility is particularly valuable for multi‑location productions or studios with mixed lighting setups. 

A bright 7‑inch HDR LCD with 1 920 × 1 200 resolution and up to 2 000 nits brightness is built directly into the body, functioning as both viewfinder and control interface. Touchscreen menus are complemented by dedicated dials and assignable buttons, enabling fast adjustments without interrupting live operation. The lightweight all‑in‑one construction eliminates the need for external viewfinders while preserving familiar studio camera ergonomics. 

Connectivity is engineered for modern broadcast infrastructures. Professional 12G‑SDI and HDMI outputs carry video, embedded audio, tally, talkback and camera control, while 10 Gbit Ethernet enables a cost‑effective SMPTE‑style workflow where multiple signals and power can be transported over a single cable with compatible equipment. Built‑in RTMP streaming allows direct transmission to major platforms via Ethernet or USB‑C, reducing external hardware requirements for distributed productions. 

For audio, two balanced XLR inputs with phantom power support professional microphones, complemented by a 5‑pin XLR talkback headset connection and integrated reference input support for Tri‑Sync or Black Burst when used with a studio converter. Dual USB‑C expansion ports enable direct recording of Blackmagic RAW to external drives in resolutions up to 6K, providing high‑quality masters alongside live outputs.
