Obscurio is een coöperatief en asymmetrisch spel waarin spelers gevangen zitten in een duistere bibliotheek. Via het correct interpreteren van afbeeldingen uit een magisch handboek proberen de spelers te ontsnappen.

Bij het spel Obscurio krijgt iedere speler een geheime rol. Eén speler speelt de Grimoire - het magische handboek met afbeeldingen en hints - en moet zijn team naar de uitgang begeleiden via diverse kamers, door aanwijzingen te geven over de juiste deur die gekozen moet worden. De overige spelers zijn tovenaars die samenwerken om de aanwijzingen van de Grimoire te begrijpen en de juiste kaart te vinden. Maar pas op: er is een verrader in de groep! Hij of zij moet de groep in verwarring brengen en de tovenaars misleiden tijdens het bespreken van de illusiekaarten, zodat deze in de verkeerde richting worden gedreven.

Bij het gezelschapsspel Obscurio gaat het erom efficiënt te communiceren en illusies op jouw pad te vermijden. Enkel zo zal het mogelijk zijn om uit de bibliotheek te ontsnappen. Denk eraan...wees voorzichtig, want niemand is te vertrouwen.
