The Blackmagic HyperDeck Studio HD Pro is a professional broadcast deck designed for high-quality recording and playback using SD cards and SSD media. It supports all common HD formats up to 1080p60 and offers recording in H.264, Apple ProRes, and DNxHD codecs with PCM or AAC audio. This makes it ideal for live production, ISO recording, digital signage, and broadcast mastering.
The HD Pro model features dual SD card slots and dual SSD slots for continuous recording. It includes a machined metal search dial with electronic clutch for jog, shuttle, and scroll control, providing a tactile and responsive editing experience. The front panel also includes transport controls, a headphone jack, and a built-in speaker for audio monitoring.
Connectivity includes 6G-SDI input and output, SDI monitor out, HDMI output, reference and timecode input/output, and USB-C for external recording and webcam output. The unit supports remote control via RS-422 and Ethernet using the HyperDeck Ethernet Protocol. It also includes internal reference and timecode generators for syncing multiple units in ISO recording setups.
The HyperDeck Studio HD Pro supports a wide range of video standards including SD, HD, and 2K DCI formats. It is compatible with HDR metadata and supports 33-point 3D LUTs on SDI monitor output. The device is housed in a full rack-width 1RU chassis, making it easy to integrate into professional studio environments.
