De Basil Miles Daypack is een sportieve fietstas voor achterop met maar liefst 4 draagmogelijkheden. Door de handgreep, afneembare schouderband en rugzakbanden kan de tas als schoudertas, fietsrugzak, fietstas en crossbodytas gedragen worden. De buurlanden per fiets verkennen of een korte rit naar de supermarkt, deze Basil Miles tas maakt jouw fietsrit leuker en makkelijker. Het waterdichte materiaal zorgt ervoor dat jouw spullen droog blijven bij een regenbui. De tas sluit door middel van een rolsluiting en kliksluiting en heeft diverse vakken. Zo is er een groot vak en een ritsvakje aan de voorkant aanwezig. Met behulp van het Hook-On System haak je de tas eenvoudig aan je bagagedrager. Dit systeem is netjes weggewerkt met een afsluitbaar ritsvakje. De reflectiedetails en bevestigingsmogelijkheid voor (led)verlichting, zorgen ervoor dat je beter zichtbaar bent in het donker. De bruine details geven de tas een stijlvolle twist en door de ruime inhoud van 17 liter kun je er genoeg kleding, boodschappen of andere benodigdheden in kwijt. Deze fietstas is gemaakt van polyester, heeft een stevige binnenvoering en een groen klipje tegen het verlies van de fietstas onderweg. De Basil Miles collectie bestaat uit meerdere modellen. Zo is er ook een dubbele fietstas, stuurtas of top case variant.

Kayla Craig offers a stunning book for parents - or really anyone who has relationships with children of any age! There are dozens of beautifully written prayers and pages of breath prayers for all kinds of situations, from special days to everyday moments, which can be read and prayed as-is (including a few simple prayers worded for kids!), but which may inspire your own words as well. I especially appreciated the way the prayers acknowledge the likely privilege of the type of parent who would be able to afford this book (or have the friends who would purchase this book for them). Most of the prayers have some moment of outward focus, remembering those who might be struggling, who might not have the same resources, who might be oppressed or grieving or suffering. As I sit with these prayers and let Kayla’s words become my own, I ask God to let his heart become my heart, to care for those on the margins as much as he does. Beautiful book to have on your nightstand or to give as a gift.

I am not a parent, but I have loved following Kayla Craig’s Instagram account, @liturgiesforparents. She is a gifted writer and manages to convey complex emotions into simple prayers. There are prayers for life events, everyday occurrences, and, my favorite part, breath prayers. I especially liked the Scriptural basis for the breath prayers. As a pastor, I would not hesitate to hand this book to a family in my congregation. In fact, I may impress many copies upon families. I also read these prayers through the lens as someone who doesn’t have my own children. Most of the prayers are written for parents and from that perspective, but many could be edited to be used as prayers for children who are not your own. My only critique is that some of the prayers felt a little too long. And I would have liked more prayers that kids could say too. I received an advance copy after pre-ordering the book and agreeing to share my thoughts.
