Albert Saverys (1886-1964) was een belangrijke Belgische schilder, bekend om zijn impressionistische en luministische werken. Geboren in Deinze, kwam hij uit een artistieke familie, met zijn vader als decoratieschilder. Hoewel hij als kind met uitdagingen te maken kreeg, waaronder de vroege dood van zijn vader, waardoor hij gedwongen werd om in het familiebedrijf te werken, vervolgde hij zijn formele kunstopleiding aan de Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten in Gent. Daar studeerde hij onder invloedrijke kunstenaars zoals Georges Minne en Jean Delvin.

Aanvankelijk beïnvloed door luminisme en pointillisme, evolueerde Saverys' stijl aanzienlijk na de Eerste Wereldoorlog. Hij kwam in contact met tijdgenoten zoals Constant Permeke en Gust De Smet, wat hem ertoe bracht het expressionisme te verkennen voordat hij zijn eigen unieke stijl ontwikkelde. Hij putte voornamelijk inspiratie uit het landschap rondom de rivier De Leie in Gent, en zijn werken stralen vaak een ritmische en levendige kwaliteit uit.

Love these pillow cases! FYI: 20" X 26" are PERFECT for supposed "queen size" feather pillows. 20" x 30" ones are too big and allow the feather pillow to flatten out too much.
