Een wereld van vrede is verscheurd door de opening van een verachtelijk portaal van het goblin-koninkrijk. Vervelende goblins stromen de vredige bossen en dorpen van de elfenwereld binnen en zetten het rijk in vuur en vlam. Nu moeten jullie, de helden, zoeken om dit onrecht recht te zetten. Er zijn twee wegen naar de overwinning: het portaal sluiten of alle goblins verslaan. Welke ga jij kiezen? Hoe dan ook, je speurtochten worden geholpen door de overlevende paddenstoelenmensen - en door de epische items die verloren zijn gegaan in de diepe kerkers van het rijk. De wereld vergaat snel, dus je moet snel handelen om hem te redden, maar je moet ook weten wanneer je geluk opraakt...In Tiny Epic Quest gaan spelers op een sandbox-avontuur. Elke speler bestuurt een groep van drie elfhelden die op zoek zijn om de wereld en het heilige paddenstoelenvolk te redden van de binnendringende goblins.
Elke ronde is opgedeeld in twee fasen: dag en nacht. Overdag reizen spelers heinde en verre, bezoeken dorpen om speurtochten te verwerven, monumenten om krachtige spreuken te leren, paddenstoelengaarden om begeleiding te zoeken en verraderlijke locaties op zoek naar artefacten! Door artefacten te verwerven, krijgen de helden unieke vaardigheden; dit kan de beweging of het gevecht van een held verbeteren, of hun vermogen om spreuken te leren of schadelijke dobbelstenen te verminderen.
Helden moeten te voet, te paard, per vlot, per boot en per gryphon reizen om overal te komen waar ze heen moeten om hun zoektochten te vervullen - of om zich te positioneren voor wat de nacht brengt. Omdat elk type beweging anders en beperkt is, moeten spelers zorgvuldig rekening houden met reizen en hoe ze reizen, als ze al hun doelen willen bereiken.
Tijdens de nacht moeten spelers de uitdaging van hun zoektochten en beslissingen aangaan door dobbelstenen te gooien, te hopen op fortuin en te weten wanneer ze moeten stoppen. Druk je door? Of is het tijd om je voortgang en rust op te slaan? Morgen is er weer een dag.
Het spel eindigt zodra het portaal is gesloten of alle goblins zijn uitgeroeid. De speler die de meeste overwinningspunten heeft behaald door goblins te verslaan, spreuken te leren en missies te voltooien, wordt tot winnaar gekroond!

Good to have if you've never seen the iTEP exam, but don't rely on it to boost your scores

This book is good in that it comes with two practice tests: one in the beginning of the book, one in the end of the book. The grading rubric is helpful too. However, the actual guide part of the book, doesn't help too much with how to improve test scores. What I like least about this guide is that it won't tell you which questions you answered incorrectly on the practice exams. A good test prep guide will tell you what you answered incorrectly, and will tell you what logic to follow to get to the correct answer. In the reading passages, it would be nice to know where I can find evidence to justify the "correct" answer. In the grammar section, it would be nice to know which rule I'm violating. Any test guide should always come with some testing strategies. I.E. If this question is taking up too much time, skip it and go to the next one. This guide lacks simple strategies like that. Simple strategies like that could be useful when incorporated into this guide because there are certain sections on the exam that you can go back to previous questions, but some sections where the "back" button is disabled.
Overall, if you've never seen an iTEP exam before, this book is certainly helpful in that it will give you an idea of what you will be testing for. However, this book alone won't help you achieve a score of 6. The table of contents itself will tell you there are only 86 pages of actual content covering test material. That's not enough to cover how to excel in the exam.
