Tip: Een Tilley hoed behoort ruim te zitten. Er moet nog een vinger tussen de hoed en het hoofd kunnen. Dat is voor de luchtcirculatie bij warm weer. Door het koord tegen het acherhoofd te spannen zal hij niet snel af waaien. Bij harde wind het koord onder de kin gebruiken.
