Hij zorgt voor materiële en spirituele welvaart en wordt daarom beschouwd als de patroonheilige van zakenmensen. Maar Ganesha mag niet afwezig zijn bij elk nieuw begin, of het nu een verhuizing of een nieuwe baan is, want hij zegent de nieuwe situatie en belooft geluk.
