Door de zachtheid van witte klei is deze speciaal geschikt voor de gevoelige huid en de baby- en kinderhuid. Gemengd met vette plantolie kan witte klei ook toegepast worden in de vorm van zalven en maskers. Het kan dan ook gebruikt worden als gezichtsmasker voor de gevoelige huid. Daarnaast is het geschikt voor alle toepassingen waarbij tot nu toe de klassieke talkpoeder wordt ingezet. In tegenstelling tot talkpoeder sluit kleipoeder de huid niet af.
Kwaliteit:
In het diepe zuiden van Frankrijk zijn in miljoenen jaren tijd kleilagen gevormd. Door het warme, zonnige klimaat is er veel zonne-energie in de klei opgeslagen. De klei wordt gewonnen, gedroogd in de zon en via een speciale techniek fijn getrild en gefilterd. Elke batch wordt door een laboratorium gecontroleerd op de hoogste normen voor inhoudsstoffen om een topkwaliteit te garanderen!

Masker voor de gevoelige huid:
Een heerlijk recept voor een fluweelzacht masker van witte klei:
2 eetlepels witte klei
2 eetlepels vette plantenolie (met eventueel 1 druppel essentiële olie)
De kleipasta moet glad en smeuïg zijn en niet te vloeibaar. Verdeel de aangemaakte warme of koude klei gelijkmatig over het gezicht. Gebruik gemiddeld een laagje van 0,5 cm. Laat ongeveer 15 minuten intrekken, het masker wordt niet hard. Daarna afnemen met vochtige kompresdoeken en de klei weggooien. Een masker van klei reinigt de huid, verwijdert de dode huidschilfers, verstevigt de huid en ondersteunt het herstellende vermogen van de huid.
Babybilletjes & luieruitslag:
Witte klei is zeer zacht voor de huid. Bij een geïrriteerde huid en luieruitslag is de poeder inzetbaar als vervanging voor talkpoeder. In tegenstelling tot talkpoeder sluit kleipoeder de huid niet af. Klei blijft ademen! Teveel wassen en zalfjes smeren kan de natuurlijke balans van de (baby)huid verstoren. Het gebruik van klei wordt ook aanbevolen voor huidverzorging bij baby’s en peuters omdat deze huid nog niet volledig ontwikkeld is. Een vochtige babyhuid die met de bijtende stoffen uit de ontlasting en urine in aanraking komt, kan irriteren. Veel talkpoeders maken het van nature zure milieu van de huid alkalischer met als gevolg een broedplaats voor bacteriën en een grotere vatbaarheid voor irritaties. Het gebruik van kleipoeder houdt een gezonde zuurgraad van de babyhuid in stand wat te danken is aan de mineralen in de klei. Het kleipoeder kan worden gestrooid of gebruikt als smeersel door de witte klei aan te lengen met een vette plantolie en eventueel een beetje water of hydrolaat.
Tip: witte klei is ook verkrijgbaar in een handige strooibus!
Een verzachtend kleibad:
Voeg circa 4 eetlepels witte klei toe aan een lichaamsbad. Een kleibad werkt verzachtend bij allerlei huidklachten. In een voetenbad gaan 2 eetlepels witte kleipoeder. Niets is zachter dan baden met witte klei en vette plantolie, voeg dan 4 eetlepels plantolie toe. Let op: het bad goed naspoelen om te voorkomen dat de afvoer verstopt raakt!
Zweetvoeten:
Bij zweetvoetengeur is klei ideaal te gebruiken in combinatie met een paar druppels essentiële olie van salie, tea tree en lavendel. Je kunt de witte klei naar behoefte op de gewenste plek strooien en eventueel licht in masseren.
Waarschuwingen
Het komt zelden voor dat men allergisch is voor klei
Klei na gebruik weggooien en ervoor zorgen dat kinderen en dieren er niet mee in aanraking kunnen komen. Klei is slechts voor éénmalig gebruik.
Klei is een prachtig natuurproduct maar vervangt nooit een arts. In twijfelgevallen altijd een geneeskundige raadplegen voordat men overgaat tot het gebruik van klei.

Literally perfect and exactly what I needed!

I can't recommend this enough! It was exactly what i was looking for! I have an annoying habit of researching everything for months before I purchase something that will get used this often. I finally decided on this one and I was very pleasantly surprised. I needed a wedge pillow to put at my back while sitting in bed. Mostly for when I'm working on my laptop. This one was the perfect height and perfect fit for me.I'm a female that is 5'4 and weigh about 117pds. I wanted something firm enough to support my back, and this most certainly does! It had a very pleasant appearance with the light gray sides. It has a removable cover I can take off and wash when needed. It's portable enough to move from room to room, also works great on my couch and it has amazing versatility. It can also be used as a pillow for someone that might need to sleep at a slight incline. It also works if you need to prop your legs up.
It came vacuum packed. Once opened It said to let is sit for at least 24-48 hrs to give it time to properly inflate. For me, It plumped right up immediately! Again, from someone that does her research, if your looking for something like this at a reasonable price, this is it!

It was worth every cent

I have BPPV. It's a condition where tiny ear crystals come out of place and move within your ear canals - this fools your brain into thinking you're in motion, causing severe dizziness. The most common treatment is the Epley Maneuver, and that actually helps a lot. However, I was going through a period where every single day I'd wake up with severe dizziness. Even if I managed to do the Epley Maneuver and it worked, the entire rest of the day would be ruined because I'd still feel generally unwell and nauseous. I ended up getting a book about BPPV and the author strongly recommended sleeping at at least a 30 degree angle. So, that's why I ended up buying this wedge pillow...
I started using it April 26 and today is May 17. Since I began using it as a pillow, I have not woke up dizzy again. That is so huge! It may be that sleeping at a 30 degree angle deserves 5 Stars but thought I'd give this pillow 5 Stars too, as it's been a great experience. If you suffer from this, here's how the angle should be...If you lay your head on a pillow and open your eyes, you should not be looking at the ceiling. With the right angle, you should be looking at where the wall meets the ceiling. If so, you know you're at the right angle.
As far as pillow itself, I'd say the pillow case fabric is of average quality. Not really remarkable in any way. It seems decent. Good value for the price. The inside is firm (which is just what I needed) but comfortable, and I tend to not move around much the entire night. I like this very much and if it does start wearing out, I'll definitely come back here and buy another. Would recommend.

A bit too firm but great otherwise

I got this wedge pillow primarily to have something to lean my head against (I like to lay on my side when reading or looking at my phone at night sometimes), or to sit upright when reading in bed. It's very comfortable doing both now. It does a really good job at being a nice support for the back of my bed. Only negative is I feel it's too firm. I wouldn't use it as a primary pillow, but it's definitely good for back support at least.
While I won't mark it down for this, I do find it very large. If you have anything smaller then a queen it may take up more of your bed then you'd like.
Definitely recommend. Hopefully will last quite a long while as well.

So helpful after surgery.

Perfect support while recording from abdominal surgery. This pillow maintains its shape and is not overly soft. I used it vertically as a prop for watching television and then used it horizontally to prop myself up to sleep, once I returned to sleeping in bed. I used this daily for 6 weeks or so following surgery. The cover can be removed and machine washed. The non-slip nubbies are helpful. This pilllow is high quality and really helped to minimize pain and improve my sleep after surgery.

Nice wedge pillow but not enough...

It came compacted and when I opened it expanded almost immediately, maybe took like 20 minutes to fully decompress. Its soft and comfortable and the cover is really nice. But it does have a strong chemical smell, which is normal for this kind of brand new memory foam, I just put it on a table with a window open near it and after maybe 24 hours the smell was almost completely gone.
The problem is that I bought this to have a elevated position when sleeping but the 30° are just not enough for me. I wish it was at least 45° but I could not find any pillow with that amount of degree... it's either 30° or like 75° in the other position. At the base of the pillow there is a little ridge that is comfortable for the lower back but makes me slide down in the middle of the night so I end up almost laying flat with my neck on the base ridge. With my slim build my lumbar area gets some nice support but makes my head almost have a "fall backwards" sensation, I like having my neck have a "push-forward" position with my pillow, but when adding another pillow to try and get to a comfortable position it only makes me slide down even more... :/
