After the success of debut album Big Enough and the accompanying tour, Mooneye started working on the long-awaited sophomore album towards the end of 2022. The result is the magnificent Come with Me and Hide, an album that has Mooneye sound more mature and more intimate than ever. 

Mooneye has been a Belgian indie household name for some years now, thanks to the acclaimed debut Big Enough (2021), a string of successful singles (like Bright Lights, Fix The Heater and Thinking About Leaving) and their powerful live reputation. It was that live energy the band wanted to capture on record, going into the studio with producer Koen Gisen (Meskerem Mees, The Bony King Of Nowhere, ...).

The resulting songs, however, made Libberecht doubt: is this alternative rock sound the direction I want to keep going with the band?  Libberecht wanted to go back to the essence of Mooneye: intimate music built up from an acoustic foundation. To his relief, the rest of the band was very understanding, and he set to work again, drawing inspiration from the American way of songwriting, with elements of folk and country, and influences ranging from Kevin Morby and acoustic era Beck to Morricone and Luppi soundtracks.
