MK-7, de superieure vorm van vitamine K2
Dit product bevat 180 mcg vitamine K2 in de vorm van menaquinon-7 (MK-7). Vitamine K2, ofwel menaquinon (afgekort MK), komt voor in diverse vormen waarvan de meest bekende MK-4, MK-7, MK-8 en MK-9 zijn. Het getal dat genoemd wordt achter ‘MK’ verwijst naar de lengte van de zijketen in het molecuul. Volgens de huidige wetenschappelijke stand van zaken is menaquinon-7 (MK-7) de meest effectieve vorm van vitamine K2. MK-7 wordt uitstekend opgenomen en blijft zeer lang in het lichaam aanwezig, dankzij de lange halfwaardetijd. Vandaar dat het mogelijk is om met MK-7 te kunnen volstaan met relatief lage doseringen.
Trans-vorm versus cis-vorm
MK-7 komt voor in twee vormen (isomeren), de natuurlijke trans-vorm en de synthetische cis-vorm†. Het lichaam kan alleen omgaan met de natuurlijke trans-vorm, zoals MK-7 ook in voeding voorkomt. De trans-vorm wordt door wetenschappers dan ook beschouwd als de enige biologisch actieve vorm van MK-7. De cis-vorm daarentegen komt niet voor in de natuur en is niet effectief, en zou mogelijk zelfs voor een onnodige belasting van het lichaam kunnen zorgen. Dit product van Vitals bevat voor meer dan 99,7% de natuurlijke trans-vorm.
Bronnen van vitamine K2
MK-7 wordt aangemaakt door bepaalde bacteriën tijdens fermentatie en komt van nature vooral voor in natto, een Japans gerecht dat bestaat uit gefermenteerde soja. Natto heeft een sterke, karakteristieke smaak en is daarom niet zo populair in de westerse keuken. Andere menaquinonen, zoals MK-8 en MK-9, komen in kleinere hoeveelheden voor in met name kwark en harde kazen.

Ingredienten
Rijstebloem (Oryza sativa), plantaardige capsule (pullulan uit gefermenteerd cassave-zetmeel), vitamine K2.
Gebruik
1-2 capsules per dag bij een (vetbevattende) maaltijd met water innemen of zoals geadviseerd.Let op: De vitamine K in dit product maakt het niet geschikt bij gelijktijdig gebruik van coumarinederivaten (antistollingsmiddelen zoals acenocoumarol en fenprocoumon).

Necessary for some devices

Necessary for USB-C charging non USB-C compliant devices. Not all devices will charge on a USB-C to USB- C connection. USB-C is a protocol that many devices do not follow but have the same connector.

Continues to exceed expectations

This product blew me away. I was on the skeptical side after reading some of the negative reviews, but I have never had any issues. The charger is very fast and charged my phone in 2 hours from <5%. That's faster than some of my corded chargers. The cord and charger are of very high quality and even withstood my cat biting at it. Unfortunately, it does not include a charging block/usb wall adapter, but as long as you use a block/wall adapter that can support the charger (I used a Samsung fast charging block), it works great. The product will even blink if you are using an incompatible block. The rubber on the bottom of the charger prevents it from sliding around, and the overall appearance is slick and great. The product took less than 1 minute for me to set up and is very easy to use. Overall, it's an amazing product for an amazing price.
Regarding some of the negative reviews; I see lots complaining about how hot the product gets. My block and the charger itself did get warm after extended periods of charging, however, there are safeguards that will pause charging if either get too hot. It hasn't gotten hot enough to be worrisome or even activate the safeguards, so I am not concerned about it at all.

Bought for my grandmother

Great--works perfectly with my grandmother's smartphone! Makes her life easier: when she goes to bed she just places the phone down on the pad and it starts charging. She's 95, and while I'm constantly impressed by her ability to adapt to technology, I still try to make it as simple as possible for her, and this makes her life better.
It is also convenient to have at my grandmother's house as a back up for the rest of the family--we have mixed Apple and Android users, and this works for both. If someone is running low on battery and forgot their charger, this is helpful to have!
Worth noting, my uncle and cousin used it to charge their phones and claim it is slower than with their native cord plugged in--I haven't done a comparison test or noticed any difference myself, but I don't doubt that the wireless charging technology is slower than the wired (but I wouldn't assume this is a problem withe the specific charger, but rather the charging technology). For my grandmother, this makes no difference, but it could for others.

Good product for value

This charger works great especially for older phones that have issues with chorded charging. It’s easy to take along. The price is right for what you get. It does take a while to charge your phone. Also if you have a bulky case or a pop socket you have to remove the cover before using.
