Elke textielprint wordt door de ontwerper zelf in eigen huis gemaakt, waarbij uitsluitend gebruik wordt gemaakt van haar eigen originele schilderijen en digitale illustraties. Marylène studeerde in 2015 af aan de LUCA School of Arts met een masterdiploma in textielontwerp. In 2014 won ze de internationale modewedstrijd ‘The Silhouette of The Future’, samengesteld door het Modemuseum van Hasselt, en kreeg ze de kans om een internationale stage te volgen in Los Angeles en Londen, waar ze alle ins en outs van textiel leerde.Haar huidige archief met prenten en patronen werd opgepikt door kunstboekenuitgever Stockmans Art Books en gepubliceerd in 2021. Merken over de hele wereld hebben Marylène Madou-kunstwerken in licentie gegeven en Marylène ingehuurd als art director bij het opzetten van verschillende soorten gedrukte collecties, waarmee ze wordt erkend als een van de opkomende ontwerpers van haar generatie.
