Ongetwijfeld is de Côte de Nuits-Villages Reserve de la Comtesse een van de allerbeste Bourgogne Blanc van de Côte de Nuits appelatie. Het is een complexe en minerale wijn. Hij heeft de structuur van een Saint-Aubin met subtiele bloemige noten. Het is een wijn van een zeer fris terroir die een zeer fijne en delicatie aromatische expressie geeft. De geur ontwikkeld zich in tonen van vers citrusfruit als manderijn, citroen en grapefruit. De frisheid in de neus is verrassend en zorgt ervoor dat je verder wilt gaan met proeven. Deze zuiverheid van citrusfruit wordt aangevuld met gebalanceerde noten van eiken en brioche.
De druiven komen van de top van een Premier Cru Niuts-Saint-Georges wijngaard. De wijnstokken zijn 50 jaar oud en hebben diepe wortelstelsels ontwikkeld, die worden gevoed door complexe lagen klalkstenen kleigronden, wat resulteert in geconcentreerde en complexe wijnen. De druiven worden met de hand geoogst en zorgvuldig geselecteerd wanneer ze het optimale rijpheidsniveau hebben bereikt. Hierna worden de druiven voor een tweede keer zorgvuldig gesorteerd in de wijnkelder, waarna ze voorzichtig worden geperst met een pneumatische pers. De most wordt 's nachts in koele temperatuur overgebracht in eiken vaten van 2 tot 4 jaar oud. De fermentatie gebeurd met inheemse gisten die van nature aanwezig zijn op de huid van de druif. Hier blijven de wijnen 9 maanden rijpen waarna zij een fijne filtratie ondergaan en worden gebotteld door middel van zwaartekracht.
