Een beter element is voor meer dan 95% een betere naald. Voor de Shure V15/MKV reeks top-elementen zijn nog de volgende naalden leverbaar:

  • Een Japan-made Hyper-ellips (Shibata-like) geslepen naald onder nummer 426474
  • (Daarmee lever je wel een deel van de hoge weergavekwaliteit van het element in)
  • Een Jico-made Shibata geslepen "bonded diamond" uitvoering onder nummer 426420 (Kwalitatief vergelijkbaar met de naald van de V15/V MR-uitvoering) 
  • Een drietal Jico-made SAS geslepen "naked diamond" top-naalden, waarmee het element weergeeft op een "ongehoord hoog niveau" én nog beter presteert  dan met de oorspronkelijke Shure-MR naalden: Op een boron cantilever onder nummer 426529, op een kristallen cantilever onder nummer 426425 en op een robijnen cantilever onder nummer 426519 
  • En een drietal zeer bijzondere en verrassende, speciaal geslepen "Naked Diamond" naalden op bijzondere houten cantilevers, voor een levendige en warme weergave, ook van oude en "doorleefde" platencollecties: Op een "Kurogaki wood cantilever" onder nummer 477149, op een "Ushikoroshi wood cantilever" onder nummer 477144 én op een "Yurushi-Iro wood cantilever" onder nummer 477139

 

De Shure VN5 naalden zijn standaard voorzien van een "Dynamic Stabilizer Brush". (eventueel opklapbaar/verwijderbaar)

De optimale naalddruk voor de SAS Shure-naalden met een "Dynamic Stabilizer Brush" is: 1,75gram, (instelbaar tussen 1,5 en 2gram) zonder brush is de optimale naalddruk 0.5gram lager dus: 1,25gram. (instelbaar tussen 1 en 1,5gram)

 

De SAS-slijping (Super-Analog-Stylus) wordt gezien als één van 's werelds absolute top-slijpingen. De naalden hebben een werkelijk perfecte tracking met een prachtige detaillering. De vorm van de Sas naalden zit heel dicht bij die van de oorspronkelijke snij-naald en staat garant voor een bijna volmaakte aftasting van de beide groefwanden met als resultaat een prachtige "Stage/plaatsing", een uiterts muzikale weergave en minimale afspeelvervorming. Een Sas vervangingsnaald "tovert" een element naar een weergavekwaliteit die je nooit eerder heb gehoord of voor mogelijk heb gehouden ! De SAS Naked Diamond naalden worden geleverd op drie verschillende cantilevers (buisje waar de naald op is gemonteerd): De BSAS naalden hebben een Boron cantilever, de weer betere SSas naalden zijn gemonteerd op een kristallen cantilever en een aantal naalden voor top-elementen zijn ook nog leverbaar in de RSAS uitvoering op een nog weer stijvere en hardere robijn-cantilever.

De SAS-naalden zijn ontwikkeld bij het Japanse Jico (o.a. ook de fabrikant van de originele Shibata naalden) door een ingenieur die eerder voor Technics & Shure heeft gewerkt. Sas-naalden voor deze merken zijn derhalve "zo-goed-als-original" Shure & National/Technics-naalden.

I have received this chair just today and would like to give my first impressions of it. Height is super adjustable as well as the foot rest. My desk is very tall (~34 inches vs standard ~29 inches) and does not suit a standard height chair. This chair's height is enough to sit comfortably at mybut also still having adjustment to be even higher. Lumbar support is a manual adjustment that can be adjusted by sliding the lumbar piece up or down and it seems it can be tiled as well. No reclining feature or slight backrest tilt adjustment. I'm used to my chairs reclining so it feels a little awkward siting in a flat base and straight backrest. I feel like I'm sitting too forward or leaning forward slightly but is probably something I can get use to. Easy to put together and feels very sturdy. Plastic parts of chair are made from a really sturdy plastic, like playhouse plastic materials. Wheels roll around carpet easily. Mesh seems to be a strong material, though the mesh feels kind itchy on bare skin. Overall, I think this is a good chair to get if you're needing a tall chair for a good value and can sacrifice no backrest tilt.

And the arms flip up, which was an absolute must when I was shopping for this chair. I got it on sale, too -- $109.00 -- and I'm delighted with this purchase.
