Bonusacties geven extra mogelijkheden, zoals het planten van struiken, die je bossen vergroten, en het aanleggen van meren, die extra opwaarderingen mogelijk maken. Elke ronde krijg je 1 beurt minder, maar omdat je bonusacties steeds sterker worden, doe je per beurt meer. Na elke ronde krijg je punten voor bossen en bomen die zonlicht opvangen. Evergreen is een tactisch spel, dat door de eenvoudige spelregels zowel voor gevorderde als beginnende spelers geschikt is.
