In zijn zolderateliers creëerde hij met klei, strijklicht en tekenpapier een ongeduldig oeuvre, met het gulle lijf van zijn model Nel in een glansrol. De vrouw van zijn leven was meteen Wouters’ eerste biografe en de beschermengel die zijn nalatenschap met strenge hand zou beheren. Drie plaatsen staan centraal in dit boek: de kunstmetropool Brussel, het dorpse Bosvoorde, waar Wouters de aardse, gouden gloed van de dingen in verf en brons wist te vatten, en Amsterdam. In de rafelrand van de Grote Oorlog zou hij in Nederland – tussen huurflat en ziekenboeg – zijn laatste werken maken: troost en trots voor wie alles te verliezen heeft. Biograaf Eric Min hield de grotendeels ongepubliceerde memoires, plakboeken en brieven van Nel tegen het licht. Samen met andere unieke bronnen levert dat een breed panorama van de artistieke belle époque op.

Incredibly Soft and Cozy

This blanket is unbelievably soft and fluffy — one of the softest throws I’ve bought from Amazon. It feels very cozy and keeps you surprisingly warm without being overly heavy. Perfect for curling up on the couch or adding extra comfort to a bed.
My only small issue was the color. The “sage green” looked much more like a cream or very light neutral in person, so I’m not sure if I received the wrong color. I ended up keeping it anyway because the softness and quality were so good.
