#1000 (bruin) - Meest geschikt voor regelmatig gebruik, bijvoorbeeld wekelijks een paar minuten polijsten. Voor gebruik de slijpsteen minimaal een half uur in water laten weken. Niet laten vallen.
#220 (grijs) - Grovere slijpsteen voor uitgebreider onderhoud, eens in de zoveel weken of maanden. Begin met deze slijpsteen en eindig met #3000. Voor gebruik de slijpsteen minimaal een half uur in water laten weken. Niet laten vallen.
