Een intens donkerrood hart met een robijnrode rand die zoete kruiden, pruimen en moerbeien in kaart brengt met hints van vanille in de neus. Hints van rijpe en sappige frambozen-, aardbeien- en zwarte kersenaroma's worden ondersteund door goed geïntegreerde eikenkruiden in de mond met een opwindende tannine-structuur.
De druiven werden eind februari met de hand geplukt. Langzame gisting op de schil, punch-downs voor kleurextractie zorgen voor diepte van kleur en smaak voordat malolactische gisting en rijping plaatsvond in vaten.
Serveertip 1 : Karafferen - Zeker enkele uren op voorhand karafferen ! Door de wijn veel lucht te geven worden de tannines versneld zachter. Karafferen gaat zo: schenk de wijn over in een ruime karaf zodat de wijn goed in contact komt met zuurstof. De aroma's komen zo mooi 'los' en de wijn 'geeft' zich beter.
Temperatuur : 15°C en bij zomerse temperaturen tussen 14°C en 15°C
De wijn en het wijnhuis : Genesteld tussen de hellingen van de Groot Drakenstein-bergen in de Franschhoek-vallei, ligt de Bellingham Homestead. De Homestead-serie is een eerbetoon aan de Bellingham-benadering van uitmuntendheid, innovatie en kwaliteitswijnproductie door middel van regiospecifieke inkoop van druiven en de presentatie van de meest interessante variëteiten die Zuid-Afrika te bieden heeft.

Onze geschiedenis
Het verhaal van Bellingham begint in 1693 toen Hollander Gerrit Janz van Vuuren de eerste 1000 wijnstokken plantten op het landgoed, dat toen bekend stond als Bellinchamp (‘mooie velden’). Het ging vervolgens van familie op familie over tot 1943, toen Bernard en Fredagh Podlashuk de ondertussen ietwat vervallen boerderij kochten.
De Podlashuks herplantten de boerderij naar wijngaarden en reisden naar Frankrijk en Duitsland om uitgebreid wijnonderzoek te doen. Bij terugkomst brachten ze de eerste rosé van de Kaap uit in 1949, snel gevolgd door de Premier Grand Cru in 1951 en de eerste single Varietal Shiraz in 1956.
Vandaag de dag, hoewel nog steeds geïnspireerd door zijn geschiedenis van innovatie, vindingrijkheid en vooruitziende blik, is het merk stevig verankerd in de 21e eeuw en produceert het eigentijdse, gestructureerde wijnen met een onmiskenbaar gevoel voor plaats en stijl.

Does the job but dangerous to walk with!
Does the job but dangerous to walk with: foot is sliding inside the sock if the foot was treated with cream or lotion prior. It is uncomfortable to sleep with but a necessary hurdle to heal your heels!

The really work!

Fabulously bizarre and effective
These silicone socks have to be the strangest item I have ever ordered from Amazon. However strange they are, I was pleasantly surprised with them.
My order came with two pairs, and I took one pair out to wash before use. I laughed at handling them then because they were a cross between hospital socks and leftover mannequin skin…trippy.
The socks dried fast, so I put on foot lotion and put the socks on. The socks are beige skin tones that cover the entire foot up to the ankle, basically booties.
The silicone is very soft and makes putting on and taking off the socks easy. They are also surprisingly easy to walk around in because the bottoms have grips, again, like hospital socks. I walked on tile, hardwood, and carpet with no slipping. The booties also stayed in place with no issues.
I was concerned my feet would sweat, but that didn't happen. I was able to wear them for 3 hours without sweaty feet.
When I took them off, my feet were a lot more soft than before or if I had used regular socks. For reference, my feet are not terrible, but the skin around my toes is dry and peeling from my picking(gross, I know).
The socks I got are a size large, which worried me because they are big, but the site said for my shoe size (9) that's what I should order, and they were right. They are the perfect size and stretchy for room.
I can't believe how cool and well-thought-out these socks are, on top of working. Honestly, these are among the top 20 favorite items I've ordered from Amazon. They may look incredibly strange, and they are, but they work wonders.
