Wijnhuis Cascina Ghercina werd in 2002 overgenomen door Paolo en Guido Sartirano. De twee broers hadden de wens om een mooie selectie te maken voor wijnliefhebbers met een passie voor kwalitatieve en traditionele wijnen uit Piemonte. En dat is precies hoe deze wijnen worden gemaakt. Volgens de wijnbouw traditie in Piemonte. De waarden van de broers zijn: respect voor het terroir, de voortdurende zoektocht naar uitmuntendheid en de authentieke passie. Deze waarden combineren ze nu met moderne technologieën.De oude wijngaard van Cascina Ghercina
De wijngaarden liggen rond het Chercina meer in het bekende wijngebied Langhe. Daar dankt de naam zich ook aan. Deze plek is uitermate geschikt voor wijnstokken. Dankzij het meer ontstaat er een speciaal microklimaat dat de omringende wijngaarden beïnvloedt. Hierdoor krijgen de druiven zeer speciale kenmerken, die proberen ze tijdens de vinificatie te behouden. Deze Riserva betekent kwaliteit, selectie, toewijding en geduld. Alleen de beste druiven worden geselecteerd en gevinificeerd met de juiste kennis en passie. Zijn elegantie maak het de onbetwiste hoofdrolspeler bij grote gelegenheden.Voor perfectie is veel geduld nodig voor deze rode Barolo Riserva wijn
De druiven worden met de hand geoogst en vervolgens minimaal 36 maanden gerijpt op eiken houten vaatjes. Na de hout lagering ondergaat deze Barolo Riserva nog een lange periode van fles lagering tegemoet van 24 maanden in de kelders van Cascina Ghercina. Geen enkele fles verlaat de kelder zonder dat deze op top niveau is, nou top dat is! Met in de geur veel kruiden, tabak, rijpe fruit tinten, pruimen, lavendel en iets van vanille en eiken. De smaak is compleet, en zeer geconcentreerd met nuances van zwart fruit, pruimen en iets van drop, tabak en kaneel. Gewoon een klasse wijn en ga er maar eens goed voor zitten.Shipping Notes

Great product, saved my hair
Honestly this is one of the best products I have ever used for my hair. I have been able to increase volume and thickness of my hair. The product is versatile and can be used in conjunction with other products as well. The application is very easy and I usually use any excess product on my skin for the added benefits. If you have fine hair your hair will get oily if you don't wash out so I just apply at night and wash out the next morning. Overall my hair is so much healthier and I am really happy I found this. Also I apply this 2-3 times per week overnight and wash in the AM. It will stain your pillow case so sleep with a bonnet or something with breathable material.

Love this batana oil over the other brands
This batana oil has natural ingredients and leaves my hair very moisturized. I have seen some hair growth after using this for a few weeks. So it's great value for my money. It does have a coffee scent but that doesn't bother me at all. I would definitely repurchase this again.

**UPDATE ON PDT*** Ingredients changed
Ok here’s my update (4/4/26)
We loved it. It did what it was supposed to do in the beginning but now I stopped using the product. Ingredients must’ve changed. It’s now a darker color, it doesn’t dissolve like it did in the past, and worst part— my daughter’s hair started breaking off. It could just be her hair but I don’t want to take chances. The ingredients definitely changed.
We are trying azure batana and will stick with it for 3 months to see results. But as of now their product looks like the real deal. It’s a shame because I like consistency. I’ll stick with one product for years. Oh well. Tossed this one out.

Yes it works. It smells so if you’re sensitive to smells, you might only want to use it as a deep conditioner. Both my daughter & I are adjusted to the smell and love the results so we can easily prioritize our results over the less than fragrant odor. But the results!!!
My daughter lost 40% of her hair a yr ago to severe scalp ezcema (+ a trip to St Martin’s beautiful yet salty water). We used other products with marginal success. I started using this product 2 months ago & I already see results. We use it twice weekly as a spot treatment along the crown & nape of her head, and deep condition with it twice monthly. Her locs are growing and more importantly, her edges and nape are recovering tremendously. We’re going to keep at it!! We like the texture (moist but not sticky), it leaves her locs moisturized but not weighed down. Her hair is drinking it up. Will repost after 2 more months.
