Een BBQ-showstopper met karakter

Wil je iets bijzonders op de BBQ? Deze gevulde kalkoen is een echte blikvanger en perfect voor een langzame bereiding op de smoker of in een afgesloten BBQ. De kalkoen is volledig uitgebeend en gevuld met een rijke combinatie van kipgehakt, room, pistachenoten, selderij, champignons en een vleugje cognac. Dit zorgt voor een sappig, smaakvol stuk vlees met een heerlijke vulling die perfect samengaat met de rokerige aroma’s van de BBQ.

Bereiding op de BBQ

Omdat de kalkoen al is gevuld, draait het bij de bereiding vooral om het rustig garen en zorgen dat alle smaken goed in elkaar overlopen. Je kunt de gevulde kalkoen het beste indirect grillen op een temperatuur van ongeveer 150-160°C. Gebruik een kernthermometer en laat de kalkoen rustig garen tot een kerntemperatuur van 72°C. Dit zorgt ervoor dat de vulling mooi stevig wordt en het vlees mals en sappig blijft.

Extra smaak en krokante korst

Wil je een knapperige korst? Bestrijk de kalkoen dan de laatste 30 minuten met gesmolten boter of een glaze naar keuze. Een subtiele lak van honing en mosterd of een lichte cranberry glaze geeft een extra smaakdimensie. Voeg wat rookhout toe aan je kolen – bijvoorbeeld kersenhout of appelhout – voor een licht zoete rooksmaak die perfect past bij gevogelte.

Serveren

Laat de kalkoen na bereiding even rusten, zodat de sappen zich goed verdelen. Snijd de rollade in mooie plakken en serveer met gegrilde groenten of een frisse salade. Serveer er een romige saus bij, zoals een klassieke cognac-roomsaus, om de vulling extra te benadrukken.

Een echte klassieker die verder gaat dan de traditionele kersttafel – perfect voor een BBQ op hoog niveau.

It truly does leave a soft feeling after using. I didn't realize how big the container would be when I purchased it, however can now say after a few weeks of using it, this is going to last me a long time! And I'm definitely pleased about that. I guess you can say that there are definitely other less-expensive products out there, but when you consider how well this product performs, it's a great buy! If you're currently reading this, examining products for yourself, wondering if this one is for you....hesitate no longer. When this container runs out....it's definitely going to be a long while....I will definitely buy it again.
