Geen moment is het quintet hier bezig iets groots op tape vast te leggen: alle vijf spelen ze alsof ze zichzelf in een luie stoel in Rudy Van Gelder's studio hebben geparkeerd. En toch klinkt het geen moment alsof ze er zich makkelijk vanaf spelen. Juist met dit soort ogenschijnlijke nonchalance wisten Davis en co destijds te excelleren.
