De Surface collectie is geïnspireerd op Sergio Herman's thuisland Zeeland - een reeks kleine eilanden in een voortdurende strijd met de oceaan, met een landschap geëtst door getijden en stormvloeden. De materialen, kleuren en glazuurtechnieken interpreteren de ruwe natuur en unieke topografie van de regio, van grillige kustlijnen tot bleke zandduinen, rijke groene weiden en donkere rustige meren.
