De heer Anselmo Mendes is een gepassioneerd wijnmaker in de Vinho Verde regio in Portugal. Deze regio in Portugal bestaat uit drie grote valleien: Vale do Minho, Vale do en Vale do Douro-Baião. Ieder regio heeft zijn eigen druif. Zijn passie is het Alvarinho druivensoort, beschouwd als de meest elegante Portugese witte druif! Anselmo Mendes belangrijkste zorg is, eerst en vooral, in de wijngaard, waar de kwaliteit wordt bepaald. Het resultaat zijn bijzondere wijnen met een zeer eigen karakter, die over een ongekend ouderingspotentieel beschikken. Er bestaat geen twijfel over dat Mendes verantwoordelijk is voor een aantal van de beste en beroemdste wijnen uit de Vinho Verde regio. Zo werd één van zijn wijnen ooit bekroond in de top 100 van de wereld.Vijf verschillende druifsoorten voor Pardusco
Voor deze lekkere rode wijn gebruikt hij maar liefst vijf verschillende lokale druiven, waaronder de Alveralhão, Pedral en Caínho. De druiven zijn afkomstig uit Monção in het noorden en het dal van de Lima, aan de westkant van Vinho Verde. De wijn wordt gemaakt door een eerst een koude inweking op de schillen te doen, voor meer kleur. Na een langzame gisting op lage temperatuur, vindt een rijping plaats op gebruikte vaten, die hebben gediend voor de Alvarinho, in combinatie met een micro-oxigenatie, om de tannine zachter te maken. Pardusco van Anselmo Mendes heeft in de geur mooie hinten van rode besjes, kersen en rijpe zoete bramen. De smaak is zacht en rijp, zeer maar dan ook zeer verfijnd! "Outstanding support and a seamless process!"
Great experience with Asurion insurance through Amazon. Received giftcard money to replace my plan-protected malfunctioning motherboard
I've been subscribing to the Asurion protection plan for a while. Recently, an Asus Prime PC motherboard I had bought a few months ago on Amazon stopped working well. I ended up considering filing a claim with Asurion to see if they would either fix/replace it or issue the purchase price money, so I could buy the failed electronics replacement component again for my custom-built PC. I went to the protection plan's website and started the claim filing process but couldn't find the category my failed component would be under in order to select it from the drop-down list. I ended up messaging the live customer service. The chat messaging was somewhat slow, the agent told me they were experiencing some communication delays throughout their systems. Ultimately, the agent was very kind and understanding, and completed the claim filing process for me on her side by asking me to provide the necessary info such as the item's product name, date of purchase, price before taxes, etc. I received a printable UPS shipping label in the email, printed it, and returned the item in the mail. Approximately 2 days later, I received an Amazon giftcard code in the email with the dollar amount equal to the item's price before the sales tax. Then I redeemed the giftcard code on the Amazon page and proceeded to apply the giftcard money to my next purchase of a replacement Asus prime motherboard, and it all worked out successfully. Therefore, I had no issues with the protection plan service and recommend it to others.

Fast and easy but I dont trust the process to be fully automated.
The process was very smooth and fairly quick. The only challenge I had was that the CLAIM status showed complete but I had to manually go look up the status. There was no email or notification it was closed. After manually checking the status, I called customer support and they said since I called in, they would process the payout. I wonder if I didnt call in if they would have processed it? Also, the phone rep said they would issue me a amazon egift card but then the next day I received a email saying they mailed out the payout. Very poor communication but so far the process was easy and fast.

Nice functional printer at a low price-point
Style: WF-3820
At this price-point, the WF-3820 is a winner for a home printer with not much printing volume. It prints well. It was easy to set up the printer and wireless printing from a couple of computers. It uses ink cartridges. While Epson goes to great lengths to advertise/tout its cartridge-free printer models, if you don't print a lot this unit will do fine for you. Did I mention that it's relatively cheap? Has a fax function, but I don't have a landline anymore. It is a bit tall, and you have to open the scanner to access the ink cartridges; so beware if you're putting it in a cabinet or shelf without some decent head room.

Good Printer
Style: WF-3820
Given the 'not so good' reviews, I was a little apprehensive to buy this printer at first. This replaces a WF3620, in which I was very happy with its performance. But the print head began to print only Yellow and Black, and several attempts to 'unclog' the Cyan and Magenta nossles proved unsuccessful.
But, I am very happy with the WF3820 - both with the price and the performance. It is faster and the graphics are clear and sharp. The 'jury' is still out on how much toner it uses, but suspect it is around the same as with the WF3620. If so, then I will retain my 5 Star rating.
