In haar lezing, getiteld ‘Wij zijn de tijden. Geschiedenis in crisistijd’ breekt Beatrice de Graaf een lans voor een bezielende en verhalende vorm van geschiedenis vertellen. Zeker in tijden van crisis heeft een samenleving hoopvolle verhalen nodig om grip te krijgen op de rauwe werkelijkheid. Zij gaat daarbij dieper in op hoe kerkvader Augustines én haar grote voorbeeld historicus Johan Huizinga zelf geschiedenis niet als een wetenschappelijk tijdverdrijf zagen, maar hun publiek via pakkende beelden moreel wilden aansporen.
Beatrice de Graaf (Putten, 1976) is faculteitshoogleraar aan de Universiteit Utrecht en bekleedt daar de leerstoel van de Internationale Betrekkingen sinds 2014. Daarvoor was ze hoogleraar aan de Universiteit van Leiden. Ze studeerde Duits en geschiedenis in Utrecht en Bonn (cum laude) en promoveerde in 2004 op een proefschrift over de betrekkingen tussen Nederland en de DDR (Over de Muur, 2004) Zij verricht onderzoek naar oorlog, conflict en veiligheid in historisch perspectief, en treedt geregeld op in de media.
Het boek telt 94 pagina’s, inclusief register.

Will never use another moisturizer

I will never use another moisturizer again. I have highly sensitive, allergy-prone skin, and this is hands-down the best moisturizer I have ever found. It provides deep, long-lasting hydration that actually stays with you throughout the day.
I also suffer from Keratosis Pilaris (KP), and this lotion has worked wonders for clearing up and smoothing out those stubborn bumps. It comes in a giant bottle that lasts a long time.
The lotion itself is quite thick, so it feels slightly greasy for a brief moment right when you apply it, but it soaks in incredibly fast. Amazingly, despite how rich and thick the formula is, it has never clogged my pores or caused breakouts. If you have dry, sensitive, or bumpy skin, you need to try this!

Excellent, thick, and absorbent after a bit!

Wanted the thickest, toughest, best moisturizer I could get for extremely dry, flaky, and all-around lousy skin.
This is it.
It's thick. Doesn't absorb immediately; you may have to work a little. Can leave a little odd (even slightly sticky) texture on your hands, but only for a very brief period. No visible signs except making your skin look better.
The results are excellent. Vastly prefer it over HylatopicPlus, which is a prescription lotion. My mother tried it and bought her own!
Also doesn't have lanolin like the original. FYI, apparently the USA version does *not* have Shea (which is a nut) but some international versions do. I'm in the USA and both mine were Shea-free. The listing here shows both ingredient lists in the pictures. If this is a factor for you, make sure to check.
All told, will be using this as my main moisturizer.
