Ensure that the level of the siphon's start (where it siphons) is higher than the end (where it siphons to) of the hose. Insert the siphon's start into the liquid at all times without just touching the surface of the liquid or fuel. To stop the siphoning process, simply remove the siphon's start from the liquid or fuel; the process will then end.
