Het Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam is lange tijd gesloten geweest voor een ingrijpende verbouwing. Alle kunstschatten werden zorgvuldig opgeborgen in transportkisten, en sommige van deze prachtige werken hebben de hele wereld rondgereisd. Het Rijksmuseum is weer open en nu zijn de transportkisten niet meer nodig. Door de Rijkswachters krijgen de transportkisten weer een nieuw leven.

Alle Rijkswachters zijn handgemaakt en gemaakt uit een deel van een transportkrat. Daardoor heeft iedere Rijkswachter zijn eigen look en is er geen hetzelfde. Maar je kunt wel kiezen welke uitvoering je bestelt. Selecteer een kleur/uitvoering; de foto die je dan ziet is van de Rijkswachter die je ontvangt. Ook de armen van de allerkleinste Rijkswachter kunnen worden bewogen.
