Kenmerkend voor Grasovka is de spriet gras in de fles, zo genoemd omdat dit gras het favoriete voedsel is van de wilde bison of wisent die nog altijd in Polen

Om de scherpe kanten van het hoogwaardige distillaat te halen, wordt de alcohol veredeld door meervoudige filtering over houtskool. Kenmerkend voor Grasovka is de spriet-gras in de fles, zo genoemd omdat dit gras het favoriete voedsel is van de wilde bison of “wisent” die nog altijd in Polen voorkomt. Deze spriet- gras verleent de wodka een licht amberkleurige tint en een opvallend pittige, ietwat kruidige smaak. Mede hierdoor is Grasovka volstrekt uniek.
Leuk weetje: Dit product werd vroeger gebruikt als medicijn en werd altijd geproduceerd in combinatie met kruiden of bisongras. Het bijzondere van Grasovka vodka is, dat het nog steeds op smaak wordt gebracht met bisongras dat groeit in de open plekken van de bossen van het nationale park van Bialowieza op de grens tussen Polen en Wit-Rusland.
