Deze klassieke gehamerde klankschaal brengt een eigen, warme klank voort. De unieke samenstelling van 8 metalen, de diameter en dikte bepalen het bijzondere geluid en de boventonen van elke schaal. Daardoor is iedere klankschaal echt uniek.

Uitgebreide beschrijving
Het maken van een gehamerde klankschaal is een zorgvuldig ambachtelijk proces. Elke schaal wordt met aandacht en precisie in vorm gehamerd, in verschillende stappen, om een zuivere toon te bereiken. Hiervoor worden eerst verschillende metalen, waaronder koper, tin, ijzer, lood, goud en zilver, gesmolten in een oven. Voor bronzen schalen vormen koper en tin de hoofdbestanddelen, met kleine hoeveelheden van de andere metalen voor de specifieke zeven metalen schalen. Het gesmolten metaal wordt in een mal gegoten, waarna er schijven van verschillende diameters en diktes ontstaan die verder verwerkt kunnen worden. Vervolgens hamer je de schijven met de hand, nadat ze zorgvuldig in gewicht zijn ingedeeld, tot de juiste komvorm. Dit gebeurt bij roodgloeiende temperatuur, zodat het metaal soepel blijft en scheuren worden vermeden. In de volgende fase krijgt elke schaal zijn eigen vorm en klank door nog fijner hameren bij weer opwarmen. Tot slot worden de schalen van binnen en buiten geschuurd, gepolijst en soms met beitels bewerkt, voor een rustige en persoonlijke afwerking.
