Clematis vitalba is een plant die een hoogte to circa 15 meter kan bereiken. Het heeft een snelle en sterke groeiwijze. De tegenoverstaande groene bladeren zijn verdeeld in 3 of 5 lang gesteelde ei of hartvormige, grof getande deelblaadjes. Ze hebben een spitse top en vaak een gebogen steel. Deze bladeren zijn giftig, want het sap van de bladeren is giftig door protoanemonine. Van juni tot en met juli verschijnen er witte bloemen van 2-3 cm groot die in grote pluimen in de bladoksels bloeien. De vier afstaande viltige bloemdekbladen zijn aan de top achterover gerold. De stijlen groeien baarachtig uit tijdens de vruchtzetting. Clematis vitalba houdt van een halfschaduwrijke tot schaduwrijke plaats op een goed doorlaten en voedelrijke bodem . Verder verdraagt hij een temperatuur tot -30 °C . Het woord clematis is ontleend aan het Griekse woord 'clema' wat rankende plant betekent. Vitalba is afgeleid van de Latijnse woorden 'vitis' en 'alba' wat witte wijnstok betekent. Hij heeft deze naam gekregen vanwege de lange, zilverwitte haren aan de snavel van de vruchtjes. Toepasselijk is ook de Engelse naam 'Old man’s beard', want de bosrankpluizen lijken inderdaad op baarden van oude mannen.

Fun but kind of lower quality
I like this stuff but it is a little to oily for me. It has a soft baby powder like fragrance. When I look at this I would think it would be very glittery but it really isn't. It gives just kind of a subtle shine almost like a suntan oil. It would be really fun for like at a beach or something like that. I would like to give this 3.5 stars. This product has it's place and time but this doesn't work for a daily driver.

This is a sticky mess. There are three important factors to consider when testing any body glow/glimmer product: 1) Is it comfortable on this skin? 2) Does it actually give the desired affect? 3) Will it stick around while you're outside living your best life or will it fade into nothing? Well this sticks around, all right. In the worst way possible. But it's not comfortable and it doesn't look good. It's just sticky and gross. Almost no perceptible shimmer or glow. I couldn't see it at all but I could definitely feel it clinging to my skin. I had to shower just to get that feeling off of me. Hard pass
