Deze klankschalen vallen op door hun warme uitstraling. De binnenzijde heeft een zachte goudkleur, terwijl de buitenkant, op de bovenrand na, rustig mat zwart is.

Ze zijn met zorg gemaakt van koper, tin en acht edele metalen (Ag, Ni, Cd, Ru, Pd, Pt, Cr, Mn).

Gehamerde klankschalen
Elke klankschaal ontstaat door een nauwkeurig handgemaakt proces. De schaal wordt met aandacht en geduld in vorm gehamerd, zodat een heldere, zuivere toon ontstaat. Verschillende metalen, zoals koper, tin, ijzer, lood, goud en zilver, worden samengesmolten in een oven volgens het gewenste eindresultaat. Voor bronzen schalen vormen koper en tin de basis, met kleine hoeveelheden van andere metalen voor de bijzondere zeven metalen schalen.

Het gesmolten metaal wordt in mallen gegoten, waarna schijven van diverse diameters en diktes gesneden worden. Deze schijven krijgen hun vorm met de hand, waarbij ze eerst verwarmd worden tot roodgloeiend. Daarna hameren vaklieden ze met precisie tot een komvorm. Dit gebeurt steeds opnieuw op het juiste moment, omdat het metaal anders broos wordt en kan scheuren.

Wanneer een eerste grove vorm is bereikt, begint het verfijnde werk. De klankschaal wordt opnieuw en zorgvuldig gehamerd, verwarmd, geschuurd en gepolijst. Met beitels wordt soms nog een laatste nuance toegevoegd, die de schaal haar eigen karakter geeft.

She had 1 best friend I wish we could have seen a little bit more of their friendship in this book. Her relationship with the male characters was good not to contrived or super instantaneous. And we had some fun plot twists that I didn't expect. I wish we had more of a follow up on the situation with her family her background and her mother who was a wench. I would definitely recommend this book.
