Essentieel voor het doden van bacteriën en algen: vrij chloor. Om het vrij chloor accuraat te meten, is de Hanna Instruments fotometer voor vrij chloor de beste oplossing. Waar teststrips een afwijking van ongeveer 15% hebben, zijn deze checkers erg nauwkeurig en is er nauwelijks een afwijking. Dit is heel belangrijk, omdat alleen fotometers de hoeveelheid vrij chloor juist kunnen meten. Met een paar eenvoudige handelingen en één druk op de knop, brengt u meteen de hoeveelheid vrij chloor in kaart en kunt u bijsturen als dat nodig is.

Aantal tests: Standaard worden er 6 testzakjes meegeleverd. Daarna heeft u nieuwe testzakjes nodig.

Hoe werkt de Hanna Instruments checker voor vrij chloor?

Binnen een aantal stappen weet u exact wat de hoeveelheid vrij chloor in het zwembadwater is. Na gebruik schakelt de checker uit, wanneer deze 10 minuten niet wordt gebruikt. Zo gaat de batterij nog langer mee.

  1. Druk op de knop. De meter gaat direct aan en is klaar voor gebruik;
  2. Vul het buisje met 10 ml zwembadwater en plaats deze in de checker;
  3. Druk opnieuw op de knop. De meter staat nu op nul (ZERO);
  4. Haal het buisje uit de meter en voeg 1 zakje reagens toe. Dit zijn de druppels die bij de checker zitten;
  5. Plaats het buisje terug in de checker, sluit de deksel en houd de knop voor 3 seconden ingedrukt. Vrij chloor verschijnt nu op het scherm in ppm (parts per million).

My dog loved this ball, maybe a little too much. He attacked it like it was a wild animal and left teeth marks and tears in the outer plastic. I decided to give it to my cats instead, who initially were very intrigued by it. The buff kitty even chirped to see it. He would roll around with it as it vibrated and hopped, but after a while he wasn’t that interested. I think I can get them to play with it if I don’t use it with them every day, maybe wait a few weeks between playtimes. Perhaps it is a little too large for cats. My dog, who is less than 30 lbs., might be too big for it, or maybe just his mouth is, or maybe because he’s a Boston Terrier and he always feels like it’s his duty to destroy all toys (all my Bostons were like that). But I don’t think I will let him have it again. Maybe a toy breed or puppy might be more of the appropriate size for this ball. Or someone who isn’t as destructive. The instructions are almost unreadable because the text is so small. I couldn’t understand what I was supposed to do with the “installation process.” I did figure out how to turn it on and off by myself, however. There are four modes when it is on: gentle, normal, active, and lighting only (no vibration). As a human, it is a fun thing to watch, even if it is just for the light show.
