"Gamay is the grape that everyone is talking about" Kermit Lynch, renowned wine importer

"Gamay is the new Pinot Noir" Jordan Mackay, James Beard Award-winning wine writer

"Richly fruited and instantly appealing, the wine shows Black Doris plum, mixed spice, almond and rich floral aromas on the nose. It's succulent and plump in the mouth, offering terrific weight and silky flow. Flavoursome and delectable with a long, satisfying finish. At its best: now to 2028"Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

"A bold and expressive bouquet with a mix of aromas form plums to cranberry, and fleshy cherry to a carbonic whole berry quality. Dark ruby and unfiltered appearance lead to a palate of fine tannins texture and plump ripe red flavours. Reminds me of ‘Ribena’ with the intense black currant flavour. Balanced and well made, juicy and ready to drink from day of purchase through 2027" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier

"Soft, sweet red berry aromas spun in a savoury key of hay and green bananas. Generous and mouth-filling fruit carries through to the palate, built around a meltingly sweet core of berries and tamarillo. Some submerged, light and crunchy tannins with a tinge of bay leaf linger after the fruit has receded. A juicy and charming wine for drinking young—forward, rather than deep and complex, but easy to like. Good café wine" Stephen Wong, Master of Wine

“Extrait de Terre” literally means ‘extract of the land’ and the Cotes du Tarn lies in the heart of the French Sud-Ouest, around the town of Gaillac. Wine production stretches back 2000 years, and the area was one of the two Grands Crus of Roman Gaul and was famed for its wine in the Middle-Ages. The region’s flagship variety is Gamay, the same used in Beaujolais. Gamay thrives here where the cool evenings ensure deeply coloured, perfumed wines renowned for their light-body, drinkability and soft tannins.

This modern, fruit-driven example from family-owned producer Alain Gayrel is fermented cool with gentle plunging of the skins and 5 months sur-lie to produce an alluringly fragrant, soft, crunchy-textured wine crammed with tasty dark berry flavours.

Food Pairing: It can be served lightly chilled in summer, and its freshness and soft tannins can match with fish, octopus, white meats, vegetables and salads.

An Amazing, Powerful, Beloved Book
Format: Kindle
I am biased. I will admit that from the start. I have known Rhea Ewing for many years and they are an excellent and exceptional person through and through and a talented artist. FINE: A COMIC ABOUT GENDER is a magnificent look at the issues of gender and sexuality. It will be a wonderful gift to anyone who is asking themselves questions about who they are. This book should be in every public library in the country. Thank you, Rhea, for such a wonderful presentation of reality for many people. I loved it. The book challenged my thinking in many ways and I felt that I grew along the way in reading it.

Thought-provoking and inspiring read
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
Excellent, moving, thought-provoking, and hopeful! FINE is an engaging look at gender through interviews and personal stories. The graphic novel format and visual artwork helped me connect more fully with each narrative. Most days, I only get a few minutes before bed to read, and I had a hard time putting this down!

Thought provoking - and fun too
Format: Paperback
While I'm not usually a graphic novel reader, this really grabbed me. Its seriously thought provoking, with the right mix of humor to keep it from being heavy. The illustrations amaze me - I fill in the blanks with my mind so quickly that I feel like I'm looking at the person rather than a drawing. Definitely worth reading, and hanging onto to think about again and again.
