The Chevrolet® Bel Air® from 1957 is probably one of the most popular cars ever built by General Motors. It's a true American classic that continues to be popular with restorers and hot rodders. Among the highlights of the '57 Chevy® was the new optional fuel-injected 283 cubic-inch V8 engine, which in top form produced 283 horsepower, meeting the mythical standard of one horsepower per cubic inch of displacement. This highly detailed 1:25 scale Revell kit of the '57 Chevy Bel Air two-door sedan was constructed using modern tooling and can be built either in original condition or as a tastefully modified road version with lowered suspension, four-wheel disc brakes and special rims with low-profile tires.
The highly detailed Chevy small-block V8 engine can be recreated with the iconic Rochester fuel injection system, a factory four-barrel carburetor setup, or with chrome parts such as an open air cleaner, alternator and finned valve covers. - The builder has the choice of a stock or modern California-style street version - Optional mix-and-match body panels including separately molded front bumper balls, two different types of chrome trim for the rear ribs and backup lamps or cover plates - The highly detailed 283- Cubic inch V8 engine can be built in one of three ways - Stock tires include molded plastic whitewall inserts for easy installation - All new decal sheet with extensive detail markings Included
