It's deep yellow and orange-like color comes from carotene. Think carrots! It has more carotene and vitamin A than conventional butter, which often appears white and waxy in color. Think anemic!
That's because cows raised on pasture produce milk fat with an equally balanced ratio of omega 6 to omega 3 fatty acids (a 1-to-1 ratio).
Conventionally raised cows produce milk fat with an omega 6-to-3 ratios that heavily tilt towards omega 6 which is a root cause for inflammation in our bodies if overly consumed.*
