SKU Code: NATO18/ZU/ACU

This classic Zulu-pattern watchband in US Forces ACU digital camo is designed to blend seamlessly with the US Army Combat Uniform (ACU) pattern.

Crafted from fast-drying ballistic nylon webbing, this high-tech material is exceptionally durable, comfortable, and long-lasting—making it ideal for military watch straps. Its unique design holds the watch securely at two separate points, dramatically reducing the risk of loss, even during extreme activities.

History and Evolution

The NATO strap, from which the Zulu strap is a further development, originated over 50 years ago with a single grey version. It quickly expanded to include colors such as RAF Blue, Black, Navy Blue, the James Bond pattern, and Olive Green. Over time, the range has grown to include regimental colors, Search and Rescue (SAR) orange, national colors, police unit designs, and various camouflage patterns tailored for specific environments.

These straps are widely used by military units outside the UK and remain popular with active service personnel for a broad range of military watches.

Extensive Range

We currently produce nearly 200 different NATO strap variants in a wide selection of colors and sizes, ranging from 18mm to 24mm. These straps are available for both retail and wholesale customers, and we also offer custom regimental options. Many of our straps are supplied in bulk through official procurement contracts.

Specifications and Standards

The original NATO strap specification was set by the UK Ministry of Defence under Defence Standard 66-47 Issue 2, published on March 30, 2001. Earlier specifications included:

  • Def Stan 66-47 Issue 1 (November 13, 1992)
  • Def Stan 66-15 (Part 1) Issue 1 (November 30, 1973)
  • Def Stan 66-15 (Part 2) Issue 1 (January 31, 1974)

The current specification data sheet can be downloaded here.

While the overall design remains largely unchanged, some contracts now require stitching around the buckles, while others prefer the traditional heat-sealed method. Both construction styles offer similar performance in everyday use and durability.

Versatility and Durability

For over 40 years, we’ve supplied these straps to military personnel, police forces, emergency services, exploration teams, SAR units, oil and gas companies, marine salvage crews, and operations in tropical or desert environments. Their resistance to rot and wear, ease of maintenance, and quick-drying capability make them vastly superior to leather or silicone alternatives.

Compatibility

NATO and Zulu straps are compatible with watches from all major military watch contractors—past and present—including Marathon, CWC, Citizen, and Pulsar. They also pair perfectly with rugged civilian watches from brands such as Seiko, Rolex, and Breitling.

In summary, the Zulu strap’s exceptional durability, versatility, and secure fit make it the go-to choice for both professional and personal applications.

How to take back what the thief has stolen
Format: Paperback
I took a long time to read this book so I could soak in and apply the principles laid out from God's Word. We have all been stolen from in some way or another, whether it has been failed relationships, finances, health, or even what we feel is our calling or destiny. The good news is that we can stand on God's Word and take back what the thief has stolen. I am still applying what I have learned to have faith that God will restore the years that the locusts have eaten

I love this book. I purchase the audiobook, I wish I had purchased the hardcopy instead. It has so much information that you must read and re-read each chapter in order to gleam all the knowledge it provides.

A penetrating discussion of important books by Black authors.
Format: Kindle
Atcho’s choice of texts is smart: each has survived many decades in print, fascinates modern readers, and probes profound and current themes. Most are well known. Each one is worth your while to read or reread. Fiction, in particular, makes the Black experience in our country accessible to others. Living inside the head of Bigger Thomas (Native Son) offers a more personal understanding than any essay can. The church has always been part of the story, and Atcho does justice to this by examining African-American literature in a theological light. He is sensitive to what each text is saying on a spiritual level, discerning the subtext and bringing it to light. Over and over, as I read his analyses, I had the experience of seeing more clearly what I had only vaguely intuited. The readings he discusses are not one-dimensional or didactic, and I found having a Virgil at my side was invaluable. This book is a gift to us all.

Our church read this book together, and I can't recommend enough that your church do the same!
Format: Paperback
I am so grateful to Claude Atcho for inextricably weaving together a spacious reformed theology with the heights and depths of great African American literature. Thanks to his gracious, nuanced, and substantive guidance, I can no longer separate the two. For example, I will no longer be able to read the Exodus account of liberation without imagining Zora Neale Hurston's "Moses, Man of the Mountain." Where the themes of great African American literature (and indeed, great theology) do not short-cut suffering, death, lament, and evil, Atcho manages to do this heavy lifting in a way that welcomes uninitiated readers like me. Our church read this book together, and I can't recommend enough that your church do the same!

Eye-Opening and Heart-Expanding
Format: Paperback
I am incredibly grateful for this book. It gave me profound insight into essential truths of Christian faith and doctrine by allowing me to see them through a radically different lens than my internal lens. Plus, it opened me up enormously to the experience of black Americans who express the pain and challenge of life in our country thoughtfully and provocatively. I left this reading chastened, desiring more conversation, moved to listen better, and hoping to live differently.
