Some could lead to a side quest or an unrelated adventure, but this is not necessary. These encounters help you to occupy the heroes for a bit, while you hurriedly readjust your main focus.
Savage Lairs Fantasy Forests is for use with any fantasy setting. It makes use of the Savage Worlds game system and requires the Savage Worlds Core Rules for use.
