The EDC rescue folder from Ruko features a quick-release Axis lock system and built-in seat belt cutter. The Axis mechanism uses a hardened spring-loaded bar that moves within slots on both steel liners, positioned at the blade's rear and extending across both sides. When opened, the Axis lock engages a ramped tang portion of the blade. Dual omega-style custom springs on each liner provide the inertia needed for full tang engagement, securing the blade between the stop pin and Axis bar for a rock-solid lock.
