Bodark Block B-574 1.5" x 1.5" x 9.6"Bodark Block B 5741 1 2" x 1 1 2" x 9 5 8"~1 lb. This is a very nice, end grain block of Texas Bodark. The present dominant color is the classic golden yellow of moderately fresh Bodark heartwood, with a prominent wedge of beige sapwood the length of one edge. The heartwood includes intragrain bands and areas of reddish brown spalting stripe down the sides. These strong colors will darken to an even more attractive, dark reddish brown to golden brown

This is a very nice, end-grain block of Texas Bodark. The present dominant color is the classic golden-yellow of moderately fresh Bodark heartwood, with a prominent wedge of beige sapwood the length of one edge. The heartwood includes intragrain bands and areas of reddish-brown spalting stripe down the sides. These strong colors will darken to an even more attractive, dark reddish-brown to golden-brown with time.
There are several very thin drying checks on the upper end of this block (bottom photo and, if you look carefully, on the left side, upper end of the block on the top photo). These do extend down approximately 3/4" from the upper end. They are very tight, and I suspect stable. I would simply reinforce them with thin CA glue before turning. I see no other cracks, checks or significant flaws.

ALMOST perfect.
Color: Vivid Orange
Item is as advertised. Durable, and the tools are useful for more than just regular plugs. It comes with the snips which was great as well as actual valve stem replacements which I thought were pretty nice. Only complaint are the plug strips themselves. If the hole is from a bolt or something larger than the average screw, it may take two of them to completely stop the leak. Hope this helped.
