The Vintera II '50s Precision Bass is a brand new production offering of Fender's original split-coil Precision bass from the early 1950s. Made in Fender's Ensenada, Mexico facility, this Vintera series bass offers the "best-of" vintage Fender style in a modern production build, crafted with the highest standards.
This bass represents the second-most original Fender Precision bass - if you remember the earliest Precision basses were outfitted with a single coil middle pickup (think Sting). Its finish complement - Black with Gold Anodized pickguard - is a very popular one and has seen appearances on many Fender guitars and basses over the decades.
Key features of the Fender Vintera II '50s Precision Bass are an Alder body with gloss polyester finish, late-'50s "C" profile maple neck with gloss urethane lacquer and 7.25" radius fingerboard, vintage-style open back tuners, vintage-style 4-saddle bridge, and the classic split-coil Fender Precision Bass pickup - here the Vintage Style '50s Model, controlled by a single master volume and tone.
