In celebration of the 70 years of the Strat, Fender's 70th Anniversary American Professional II Stratocaster embodies the essence of one of the most prominent guitars in history that has shaped the way music has sounded for years, while doing so in an affordable, player's grade fashion.

In classic Strat style, the body of the 70th Anniversary American Professional II Stratocaster is cut from a solid piece of alder and finished in gloss urethane, with a totally unique color that celebrates 70 years of playing perfectly: Comet Burst.

The 70th Anniversary American Professional II Stratocaster comes loaded with 70th Anniversary V-Mod II Single-Coil Strat pickups in the bridge, middle, and neck positions, made with a blend of alnico magnet types. Voiced specifically for each position, these pickups ensure that achieving the twang and snap associated with classic Strat tones, is as easy as plugging in and playing. These pickups are easily controlled using a 1 x master volume, 2 x tone (push/push add neck) control configuration.

The 70th Anniversary American Professional II Stratocaster also features a deep "C" profile maple neck, a slightly thicker neck than the more common modern "C" shape. This C-shaped neck tends to be much shallower than U and V-shaped necks, with a less broad shoulder than the U and a less steep angle than the V. With this neck profile, accessing the 9.5" radius rosewood fingerboard becomes a breeze, and the 25.5" scale length offers an authentic feeling Fender playing experience. And what is a Strat with no tremolo system? As expected, this 70th Anniversary Player Strat also comes loaded with a 2-point tremolo system, as well as Deluxe Cast/Sealed Locking tuning machines.

The 70th Anniversary American Professional II Strat is built with the modern player in mind, all while adding a new chapter to the legacy of the Stratocaster's story, and is as much a unique collector's item as it is a workhorse of a guitar. This instrument comes with a deluxe molded dardshell case in inca silver, with a blue interior.
