Tasting Notes
Appearance
This Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc displays a brilliant pale straw colour with vibrant green-gold highlights, demonstrating excellent clarity and youthful freshness. The wine exhibits light to medium viscosity with delicate legs that flow gracefully down the glass, indicating refined texture and precise winemaking. The crystal-clear appearance reflects the pristine fruit quality and careful handling from vineyard to bottle, characteristic of premium New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.
Aroma
The bouquet is delicately scented with green apple, gooseberry, and lime, complemented by bright notes of mandarin and blackcurrant. A hint of nectarine adds a touch of sweetness and tropical character, whilst subtle undertones of sweet herbs and passionfruit provide additional complexity. Whispers of grapefruit zest and fresh-cut grass speak to the classic Marlborough terroir, creating an inviting and refreshing aromatic profile that evolves beautifully in the glass.
Palate
Upon sipping, experience a juicy, full-bodied blend of sweet herbs, citrus, and blackcurrant that delivers vibrant fruit intensity. The palate showcases excellent balance between ripe fruit flavours and crisp acidity, with notes of lime, green apple, and tropical fruit flowing seamlessly across the mid-palate. The finish is alive with zesty lime and refreshing mineral notes that provide length and precision, leaving the palate cleansed and invigorated with lingering citrus and herbaceous characters.
