Straight out of our favorite Californian workshop, we've got this Fender Custom Shop '60 Stratocaster in a cool Dirty Vintage Blonde. The Fender Custom Shop, one of the world's leading purveyors of quality custom guitars, delivers on its creative ethos with this retro-fitted Strat. This Stratocaster builds up with quality woods, unique electronics, and that distinct je ne sais quoi usually reserved for the well-preserved, original Fenders this Custom Shop model skillfully recreates.
This particular Fender Custom Shop '60 Stratocaster kicks everything off with a time-tested tonewood: two-piece alder. The wood in question, one with a lengthy legacy with both Fender and Fender Custom Shop guitars, serves as an excellent sonic springboard off which the rest of this instrument's musical experience leaps. Its alder pick also works to splash a tastefully aged Fender Custom Shop Journeyman Relic finish treatment upon. Journeyman Relic, a tier of finish relic that replicates the wear produced by decades of your everyday play and use, slips seamlessly into the guitar's Dirty Vintage Blonde shade for a look altogether awesome and authentic.
The experience carries on from here with a AA flame maple neck in a 60 Style Oval "C" profile. This profile, a choice among the Custom Shop's most popular, easily slides in the palm for speedier playing as it measures from .790" at the first fret to .930" toward the twelfth. Here, this Custom Shop brings on a flat lam nine millimeter AAA rosewood fingerboard. This board is lined with twenty-one frets utilizing 6105 fret wire. Narrow Tall frets also land among the Custom Shop's most popular options as they offer a little more articulation from their taller height. Vintage clay facedots punctuate this rosewood for an understated visual element.
Sonically, this Strat comes to life with a unified and robust set of electronics. Three hand-wound '60s Strat single-coil pickups line up with this model. Together, these three vintage-voiced pickups produce all the chime and sparkle of classic Fender Stratocasters as you've always imagined them with the middle-position featuring reverse-wound, reverse-polarity design for an added bit of sonic nuance. These electronics are backed up by a sturdy hardware setup including a Fender American Vintage Stratocaster tremolo bridge, bone nut, and Fender Vintage-Style tuning machines. This Fender Custom Shop '60 Stratocaster travels with an included Strat/Tele Brown hardshell case.
